Almost 5,000 years ago, messengers traveled to and from the city-states of Mesopotamia on missions of war and peace. Clay tablets discovered in Persia, now known as Iran, tell the story of these early diplomatic missions. Our diplomatic tradition dates back to the cities of ancient Greece, where messengers known as “heralds” were the first diplomats. The booklet, contains 93 pages only, but explains main principles of US policy from the view-point of Bureau of Public Affairs > Office of the Historian> Office of Broadcast Services - governmental body.

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun and the third largest in the solar system. Along with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune, it is classified as a gas giant—the large planets made mostly of gas and ice. The book describes Uranus's place in the solar system, its rings and moons, its orbit, and the discoveries and space missions that have helped scientists understand the planet.

Although most people have some knowledge of the essential structure
of the Solar System, few are familiar with the large and varied array
of objects that travel with and between the planets in their journeys
around the Sun.
Imaging techniques from Earth continue to
improve, while missions such as Voyager, Galileo and the Hubble Space
Telescope have yielded many excellent images. Most significantly of
all, several missions in recent years have shown a huge diversity of
objects in close-up for the first time. The book will take advantage of
the rich pool of images that is available, to tell a story of the Solar
System that has not been told before.
