"We have tried to write this book in a light and simple style, not denying ourselves the pleasure of an occasional joke with the reader. But this does not in any way mean that our Physics for Everyone is an easy book. Many of its pages must be read attentively for a long time; in order to understand physics, one must very often think hard and tensely. The book's main concern is the fundamental laws and concepts of physics. However, we have tried not to forget about illustrations from life and technology, true, not having the aim of dealing in any way with the inexhaustible field of applied physics."

This book is intended as an aid in self-study or as supplementary material in regular language classes. Its purpose is to review and codify for the intermediate to advanced student of English the main facts about English nouns - their form and their syntax. Nouns are one of the two most numerous classes of words in the English language, the other being verbs. Their main role, of course, is to name things - objects, people, animals, places, substances, and all the rest. As such, their number is as great as the number of such things that speakers want to talk about. Nouns, therefore are a very "productive" word class; new ones are readily coined, and old ones become obsolete and pass away.
Conversation in action is a book designed for teachers. The 50 units that make up the book are the result of many years of experience in the area of languages. It tries to solve the problems of many teachers that have difficulties in making pupils speak in English.
There are 40 questions about each topic. An illustration and a text about which the pupils have to make questions and answers as well as give explanations, complete the unit Couples or groups are made up to discuss, to comment about assertions and to decide whether some things are true or false.
