I really enjoyed the first two novels of the Straw Men trilogy and this one didn't disappoint, either. Marshall keeps a good pace, throws enough curves to keep things interesting, and leaves some deliciously unresolved plotlines without sacrificing the integrity of the story. The final chapter in the series, this novel is probably the most "serious" of the group, a more sober adventure than the previous installments which offered numerous moments of dark humor. But it's still a very interesting ride full of tension and bloody mayhem, from which there may be no survivors.
Follow the escapades of America's ultimate backwoods hero as he travels the frontier in his trademark coonskin cap, in search of adventure, and brags his way into history at the Battle of the Alamo.
English Adventure 2 Class CDEnglish Adventure uses familiar Disney characters that children know and love to motivate and encourage pupils to learn. At this level a balance of Disney characters and real life situations keep pupils interested and motivated. The focus is on oral communication but the children work more with the written language at this level.

The story of how Alexander the Great conquered the world - first crushing Greek resistance to Macedonian rule, then destroying the Persian Empire in three monumental battles, before marching into the unknown and final victory in India - is a truly epic tale that has mesmerised countless generations of listeners. He crammed more adventure into his thirty-three years than any other human being before or since, and now for the first time a novelist will tell the tale in a single suitably epic volume.
