Prime Time focuses on the properties of whole numbers, especially those related to multiplication and division. Students will learn about factors, multiples, divisors, products, prime numbers, composite numbers, common factors and multiples, and many other ideas about numbers. Students will participate in a series of activities that reflect many of the key properties of numbers and learn how to use these properties to solve problems.This is the first unit of the number strand in Connected Mathematics. A course of mathematics to grade 6.

The third and final unit in the development of understanding fractions, decimals, and percents, for grade 6. The others are Bit and Pieces I and II.

The focus of these unit, for grade 6, is data investigation, and it teaches students to organize, display, analyze, and interpret data. Students will learn to make and interpret many different types of data displays and to compute statistics to help describe data.

This is the second of three number units that focus on developing concepts and procedures for computing with
fractions, decimals, and percents, the others are Bit and Pieces I and III , for grade 6.
