The Visual Vocabulary Resources book provides teachers photo-word cards that visually introduce specific vocabulary. A humorous middle grade novel about two trouble-making 5th graders (well, one trouble-maker and his best friend who in reality is a nice kid; but we all grew up with that best friend who always got us into trouble) who end up having to save their classmates from their strange new Social Studies teacher. To avoid getting caught on the school security cameras and receiving yet another couple years of detention, the protagonist dons a make-shift costume comprising a paper plate mask, a fanny pack full of rubber bands, and his mother's pink bathroom towel (with yellow poke dots).
A nail biting adventure in the Rwandan rainforest with Uncle Jack, Jim, Daisy and May (and of course Grumpy the dog!). Can they save the life of King Kambogo? You will learn something about the Nyungwe Forest in this exciting adventure where Uncle Jack and the others fly off to Africa to look for a cure for King Kambogo. They don’t realise but there are some bad men who don’t want them to fi nd the cure! The book contains five pages of exercises for revision at the end.
Through fascinating stories and rhymes, young readers are introduced to some elementary geometry. The book is made up of adventures which bring in the theory, and some exercises to develop the topics. It is written in a simple and attractive language, and is particularly well-suited to 5-8 year olds.
