A.M.E.C. School opened in October of 2001, inspired by 8 pioneering families who had a strong desire for a good bilingual school in Chiangrai. Director Mongkol Supamanee of Anuban Muang Chiangrai School supported this institution as well.
Now, A.M.E.C.’s teaching starts at Kindergarten through upper Elementary classes and consists four foreign Teachers, 6 Thai Teachers and a Chinese Teacher.
The first graduating class all entered Samakee Vittayakom School’s English Program by placing top grades in an entrance examination from foreign Teachers. All the students can communicate with their teachers directly and have self – confidence, yet retain good Thai traditions.
In additions to the English Teaching program. A.M.E.C School has a lot of extra curricular activities including English Speaking Day twice a week, A.M.E.C English and Math contest, Monthly Field Trips, and Student Exhibitions on special holidays.
A.M.E.C School has Parents-Teachers Association (P.T.A) which both the teachers and parents can exchange their needs and opinions in a variety of ways. This helps the parents to participate and support school activities and programs. Graduating A.M.E.C students not only have proficient English Skills, but they also demonstrate advanced knowledge and leadership. This is our most important objective; to create qualified youth for our nation’s future.
