The book is a collection of exercises devoted to one of the most difficult aspect of English - phrasal verbs. The exercises vary in a very transparent contexts, there are about 300 phrasal verbs. Posted here among other tasks such as categorizing, filling in gaps, paraphrasing, finding synonyms and antonyms, crosswords.
The book is dedicated to one of the most popular types of test tasks - paraphrasing, i.e. expressing the same content using a different grammatical structure (or other lexical expression). The entire collection is divided into small chapters that provide guidance and training of individual structures.
These materials are the product of the Police Materials and Professional Development Course which was held in Haapsalu and Tallinn, Estonia in June 2003. The course was part of the Peacekeeping English Project which is funded by the British government and managed by the British Council.
