Each unit contains a balance between important science content and hands-on activities (through scaffolded inquiry) that support every lesson. You'll also find biographies, careers, and a NASA Connection in all units.

Positive creative and artistic experiences provide for a child’s learning and development, and the most effective engagement goes well beyond learning the names of colors or how to hold a pencil to draw. Time to Create offers easy, accessible art activity ideas for families and educators to explore with their young children. Each activity encourages discovery through a variety of art media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, and textiles, and places an emphasis on process over product. With ideas for fostering creativity, advice for choosing the right art project, and suggestions for minimizing the mess, this handbook is helpful for teachers as well as parents.
