Each level of "Practical Grammar" has 100 units, divided into modules of five units. Each module examines a particular area of grammar. The grammar is set in short, everyday conversations or texts, showing the language in natural situations which students will find engaging and can relate to. Students then examine the form, meaning and use of the language before practicing it in a variety of activity types. A Review section concludes each module and regular tests check students' progress.
Despite the frightful name, past perfect continuous tense is simple to understand, and it is fairly easy to use.
What Is Past Perfect Continuous?
Past perfect continuous tense, also called past perfect progressive, shows something that both started and ended in the past using the helper “had” with “been” and the present participle form (-ing) of any continuous verb. Two actions that occurred in the past are frequently illustrated against each other to show cause and effect or timing.
