About the authors
Professor Paul Hofman received his MD in 1989 and his PhD in 1994. From 1993-1995, he had a postdoctoral position in the department of pathology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. From 1996-1997, he worked at the institute for microbiology, Max-Planck-Institute, Tbingen, Germany. Since 2003, Professor Hofman is the head of the laboratory of Clinical and Experimental pathology and head of the Human Biobank Unit, Pasteur Hospital, Nice, France.
Since 1988, he has been a reviewer for 21 journals. Professor Hofman is the senior author of more than 240 publications.
