This month The Teacher’s Magazine goes deep down into mysteries with a didactic unit called A Mysterious World which also includes a board game. Let your students travel across the world while learning about Stonehenge, the Yeti and El Dorado among other mysteries. For children you will find a poem about a monster which is not scary, but scared. Let your students have fun with a lesson plan and a poem called Grey’s Afraid. You will also find that a Mystery Box is useful when practising vocabulary with small children. For intermediate students, Learning about the Greek Mythology will help them understand the influence Greek myths still have on modern culture. In the Global Culture Corner section, students will work on similarities and differences between two festivities: Halloween and the Day of the Dead.
