It's book, bilingual, Polish and English, about a boy and the lions
" Whenever I am hopping mad I cannot speak, I hiss! I want to meet a lions pack, Lions with savage teeth."
Whenever I am hopping mad I cannot speak,I hiss! I want to meet a lions pack, Lions with savage teeth.
I'd rush from house and slam the door. And go on dusty roads. The lions would along me crawl Behind the hedgerows.
Like stalking prey they'd creep and crawl, I'd see their golden manes. And I'd hear their ominous growl Resounding through the lanes.
And we would walk along the fields, They'd flank me on both sides. Down to the vales, up to the hills. Angry and fierce and wild.
So until dusk when sun goes down We'd plod a muddy lane Or walk upon a sandy ground Amid fields ripe with grain.
On the last golden ray they'd leap Up to a cloud, skybound. Darkness will come, the night will creep Slowly, without a sound.
As lions vanish with the sun I feel so calm and gay: The anger spent, heart full of fun, And life no more so grey.
Now quickly home! I race, I run. Says mother: "Here you are. Those lions had me worried, son, You shouldn't have strayed so far."
"The lions? Mummy, you did know!" She smiles: "Of course, I knew. Whene'er I feel my anger grow I seek the lions too!"
