Miss Blandish was a rich girl who was kidnapped by thugs for ransom. There are many elements of crime in this novel. The crime in the novel starts with kidnapping and later, many other more serious crimes follow. The author also has brought out the characters of the criminals in a beautiful manner. The reader gets an idea of the criminal world. In this novel, one also cannot help feeling sympathy for Miss Blandish and it is hard to describe the difficulties faced by Miss Blandish in this novel.
The novel also describes gang war. There is more than one criminal gang in the novel and the other gangs also try to kidnap Miss Blandish.
