The completely burned corps of a woman in a car is identified as the estranged wife of genius Carl Decker, the crown witness against his employer KBC Systems, a criminally deficient USArmy supplier. Further traces show she bit a man's ear off and was tortured by electrocution; there also was a child with her- probably her and Carl's eight year-old son Donovan Decker, who is missing. The Jeffersonian team is security-screened by federal Agent Pickering, except Hodges who is furious to be considered 'too inoffensive' and already screened anyhow because of a relative's promotion in the State Department, until...
