The 39 Clues - Book Four: Beyond the Grave

Beyond the Grave is the fourth book in The 39 Clues series. It came out on June 2, 2009 and it is written by Jude Watson. In it, the protagonists of the series, Amy and Dan Cahill, travel to Egypt because of a clue they discovered in The Sword Thief. In this book, many secrets are revealed, including information about Grace Cahill's past. The symbols in the middle of the book translate "Alistar was there the night they died."

As with every book in the series, there is a secret code hidden somewhere in the page numbers. The code for this book is in hieroglyphics. The letter that correspondes with the picture is found on the inside front cover. When broken, the code spells out "Alistair was there the night they died." As confirmed in Book 6, Alistair was there at the fire that killed Amy and Dan's parents. He stole the poem they need in Book 6.
