Madam, Will You Talk
Much of a strange and tragic drama of revenge, lust, fear, and death has already been played by the time Charity Selborne arrives at a plush resort in the South of France. But by befriending a terrified boy and catching the attention of his enigmatic, possibly murderous father, Charity has inadvertently placed herself center stage.
The new vice principal of Ella Mentry School has some crazy ideas on how to teach kids. A.J. and the gang have to stand on their heads while they do math! They have to take a spelling test underwater! Everybody has to do yoga! Could it possibly get any weirder?
Everything is falling to pieces for Francesca Thayer. Her beautiful old house is full of leaks and in need of total restoration. Then her relationship with lawyer Todd collapses and he moves out. As the owner of a struggling art gallery she can’t possibly manage the mortgage alone, so she is forced to do the one thing she never imagined she would: she advertises for lodgers.
Jane Eyre is an orphan, living with relatives she really cannot stand and obviously do not like her, Jane narrates the story herself and it starts with her being packed off to Boarding School. Sound familiar - JK Rowling possibly took inspiration from this for her character Harry Potter but the similarity between the two characters ends here. This book is set in the 18th Century and unlike Harry she hated school more than she hated home.
Money has been stolen from a bungalow called Hollies, and now all the furniture has gone too! Who could the thief possibly be? As usual the Five Find-Outers and Dog are hot on the trail...but, unfortunately, so is Mr Goon!
