A Canyon Voyage

This is a novel about the outstanding adventures which take place in the canyons of the Colorado River and is intended for everyone who is fond of the adventures in the West which are described with a good sense of humor, also containing a number of great original photographs. The author of the book has created it basing on his own experience. When Frederick Dellaenbaugh was young, he traveled with John Wesley Powell to the Colorado River with the aim of exploration and research.

A Campfire Girl's Test of Friendship

The Camp Fire Girls books is a series of fiction novels written for children by various authors from 1912 into the 1930s.
Jane Stewart created the first set of Campfire Girls, which began with A Campfire Girl's First Council Fire. The Girls were best friends Bessie and Zara, and they belonged to the campfire girls (a version of the Girl Scouts). Among their adventures were interacting with the Romany, foiling kidnapers, beating the boys at sports, showing up snooty city girls, and saving Zara's father from a counterfeiting charge.

Adventures in Australia

A couple of young men go to Australia to stay awhile with the uncle of one of them. While on the way up to the uncle's station they meet with various adventures.

Adventures in the Far West

A group of tough young Brits make their way to the west of North America, where there are numerous hazards, in the form of grizzly bears, wolves, and a few tribes of Indians who definitely did not want them there. For much of the book they are with a tribe that is very friendly, and thus we are able to learn much of the ways of these people. But towards the end of the book our heroes take part in rescuing a wagon-train of emigrants that had been attacked by a hostile tribe, and a beautiful young lady seized and ridden away with.

The Adventures in the Rifle Brigade

This is the memoir of a British army officer whose primary service was in the Peninsular War. After a short period of peace, which he spent in his native Scotland, he was ordered to Belgium where he participated in the battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo.
You will find Kinciad's memoirs to be exceptionally enjoyable.  Not a schwashbuckler like Marbot, his memoirs are more down to earth and, in most cases, full of humor.  Whether he always intended this humor is questionable, but it is there nevertheless.
