This book is for adults and young adults. Each book is divided into units designed to last for a lesson of approximately 50 minutes and includes a grid describing the skills, topic and language functions covered in each unit. It comprises 20 two page units based on taped material at intermediate level. There are a variety of listening topics such as a story, interview, discussion, monologue, news report and lecture based on authentic or stimulated authentic material. Integrated activities covering pre-listening tasks and discussion based on listening for gist and specific information, prediction and writing tasks based on topics are included.
