The art, storytelling, and language translation all improve with successive volumes. The last two stories alone make this compilation worth the price, however, and we whole-heartedly recommend Lone Wolf and Cub to both manga-enthusiasts and those curious about Japanese history. All the rest is even better. Parental guidance advisable.
