The subject of thes essay is to explain as clearly as im able to gruonds of an opinion wich i have held from the verry earliest period when i had formed any opinions at all on social or political matters,
and wich,i,instaid of bieng weakened or modified,has been constantly growing sronger by the progress of reflection and experience of life:that the principle wich regulates the existing social relations between the two --sex legal subordination of one sex to other-
