Baby signing is pre-verbal communication with your child using visual clues (signs) before they can talk. These signs help babies make sense of the words they hear as they look at things around them. They also begin to use them to tell you what they want or what they are thinking about. Baby signing gives children a way to express their needs before they are physically able to form spoken words. It gives them a structure on which to build their development of the spoken word. Babies can begin to sign back to you from as young as seven months old.
Learn 150 baby signs, clearly demonstrated and brought to life with imagery and music.
Lincoln’s official secretaries John Hay and John Nicolay enjoyed more access, witnessed more history, and knew Lincoln better than anyone outside of the president’s immediate family. Hay and Nicolay were the gatekeepers of the Lincoln legacy. They read poetry and attendeded the theater with the president, commiserated with him over Union army setbacks, and plotted electoral strategy. They were present at every seminal event, from the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation to Lincoln’s delivery of the Gettysburg Address—and they wrote about it after his death.
I had never read any of Meg's books until we went to a book signing in 2012. Since Meg was promoting Size 12 and ready to Rock we had to purchase that book from the retailer so my teen could have her books signed. I started with that book and got hooked on the series. Of course I had to get The Bride Wore Size 12 to see what Heather was up to now. It was a great read. I love Meg's style. She writes just like she talks (go to a signing, she really does!) and it is great.

Baby Signing: How to Talk with Your Baby
This great DVD is a really good way of teaching your child to communicate before they can learn to talk. If you attend one of the many TinyTalk classes that are held nationally you will already know some of the signs contained in this DVD and will find it a great help to learn more ways of communicating with your baby. If you don’t attend a class then this DVD will provide a great way to learn at home with your baby.

Signing Time. (2 season) Volume 1: Nice to Meet You /2005/ DVDRip
Parents and families can easily learn sign language along with their children. Unlike other programs, Signing Time makes learning American Sign Language easy, even for adults. While showing you how to form signs, Rachel Coleman also gives hints to help you remember. When teaching the word “drink”, Rachel says, “form your hand around an imaginary cup and bring it to your mouth.”
