This book contains sets of pictures which form a small story and the student has to produce the story within their ability. A low level student would probably produce a lot of single simple sentences but a higher level student would produce naturally higher level language. Although the book was originally intended to help students in the UK learn and produce stories in french, I can see no reason why it should not be used by students of english.
