This book brings together a wealth of scientific findings and ecological knowledge to survey what we have learned about the “Wet Tropics” rainforests of North Queensland, Australia. This interdisciplinary text is the first book to provide such a holistic view of any tropical forest environment, including the social and economic dimensions.
This book is packed with games and puzzles featuring the plants, animals and reptiles of the rainforests. From Komodo dragons to sloths and lemurs, to orchids and monster flowers, to butterflies, this book is filled with friends to help solve these puzzles. As an added treat, you can color the pages when you're through. If you need more help, the solutions appear at the end of the book, starting on page 39.
JumpStart Animal Adventures is fact-filled, animal habitat exploration program. Users sign-in on a contest entry form, and are taken to one of four habitats: tide pools, temperate forest, rain forest, or savannah. There, they are challenged to find specific animals for a photo album, and to play several fact-based games. Completing a contest (i.e. finding all the specified animals in a habitat, and completing the games therein) generates a reward, like a printable description of how to make a home for a toad.
