Inspired by art history, this step-by-step guidebook features 17 designs influenced by the Gothic, Renaissance, Victorian, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco eras reinterpreted in the artist’s distinctive, contemporary style. Emphasizing a mix of vintage findings, beads, lamp work, buttons, and modern components, this jewelry brings a feminine mystique and sophistication to ordinary beadwork. Each project builds on simple elements to create sophisticated designs and incorporate off-loom seed bead weaving, stringing, and wirework.
Euclid's birthplace and dates are not known, however his famous book, The Elements, is dated about 300 BC. There is little hard information about Euclid's life. He is thought to have studied in Athens at the school established by Plato, and therefore would have learnt his geometry from the students of Plato.
Euclid probably supported himself teaching geometry. He eventually moved to Alexandria where the greatest library in the ancient world was also the most important site of learning at the time. It is here that Euclid composed The Elements.
Designed by teachers and supporting all UK examination board syllabuses, GCSE Maths is just the job whether you want a reference tool to help you brush up on particular areas where you're weak or whether you're engaged in a last-gasp rush towards exam success. Perhaps stereo-typically, there aren't many laughs--and indeed, the few multimedia elements (mostly voice-overs with some nice animated graphics illustrating topics such as 3-D geometry) are disappointing.
