The authors illuminate how natural and built landscapes have shaped Cuban identity (cubanidad), and vice versa. They provide a unique perspective on Cuba’s distinct historical periods and political economies, from the colonial period through republicanism and today’s socialist era.

Psychopathology in children and adolescents has been extensively researched and addressed in terms of its epidemiology, expression, developmental pathways, and causes. And despite all the research studies and findings, the question remained: Are the emotional and behavioral problems of girls unique to the distinct aspects of female development, behavior, and adjustment? To fully understand and address the emotional and behavioral problems of girls, their distinct characteristics must be examined in terms of both developmental progression and context-that is, in terms of their various ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds as well as family, school, and peer environments and influences.
I think there is a clear need for this book as there is increasing recognition of the autistic spectrum as distinct from simply hard core autism, and also either a distinct rise in either the prevalence or recognition of these disorders or both, plus a recognition of the great burden on school systems, families and teachers as they attempt to cope with what are life long disabilities in the absence of any clear cut biological treatments. "The Bear" by William Faulkner was an extreamly slow paced book. Many of the sentances ran on for two pages or so, and became incomprehensible. Faulkner seems to ramble on aimlessly, failing to reach distinct points. There were some good double meanings in the text, but if this is what you like, look at James Joyce. This was a failure.
