The original German work, 'Dreihundert Schachpartien' was initially intended to be a well-annotated record of three hundred of Grandmaster Tarrasch's best games, but it quickly became a favorite textbook for chess teachers. As more and more copies were sold, the book was eventually recognized as a valuable middle game treatise.
