We are two brothers from Canada. We grew up near Toronto and are now living in Shanghai. We’ve been to many different countries and have travelled all over China. We’ve seen and taught thousands of students who find learning English difficult and boring. We decided to make something interesting and useful so that students could improve their English rapidly, while having fun at the same time.
There is no shortage of books on how to play the violin, but the aim of Robert Gerle, one of America's most distinguished teachers and soloists, is specifically to suggest ways of planning a violin student's practice. The hints given by the author will in many cases be useful for all string players, particularly on sight-reading and memorizing.
