Each 22-minute program features a combination of bright CGI animation and real-life kids. Young viewers have lots of opportunities to interact with the onscreen characters and develop math skills like counting forward and backward from 10, recognizing shapes, completing patterns, and even comparing weights and reading a schedule. Lots of fun, pop-inspired songs accompany the action, and positive reinforcement is plentiful. Bonus features include a simple, interactive Blue Mermaid Shapes Under the Sea game in which kids pick out specific shapes and find the shape that is different from the others. (Ages 2 to 7)
Ages 4 and up - Introduces young readers to such square items as crackers and tiles. Look around the room and see if you see any squares, and then see if you can draw a square. What could you make with squares?
