Plain Secrets - An Outsider Among the AmishPlain Secrets - An Outsider Among the Amish

In an engaging personal memoir, Mackall, an Ohio-based writer and professor of English, describes the close-knit relationship he has cultivated over more than a decade with a neighboring Amish family. A Century of WarA Century of War

John Denson, in a book that covers the history of America's large wars from 1860 through the Cold War, describes the twentieth century as the bloodiest in all history not coincidentally a century of statism. Denson recounts how the wars that destroyed American liberty came about through a series of deceitful political ploys. He provides a close examination of the rise of executive dictatorship, and demonstrates how far from the founders' vision of government we have come. It explains how world peace can only come through the practice of free trade and free markets, and why large government can only create conflict both domestic and international.

Principles of Project FinancePrinciples of Project Finance

This introduction for practitioners offers a balanced view of project financing, integrating legal, contractual, scheduling, and other areas that participate in large multiparty projects, large single-asset purchases, and broad-based financing programs for fleets of assets. It mixes theories and case studies but avoids becoming too oriented toward applications in any one particular industry. It focuses on the concepts and techniques required by project finance people without being overly academic or beset by case studies. The author, who has a legal background, recognizes that some legal information is necessary, but he doesn't attempt to write a law book.
