The Jolly Readers are interesting storybooks designed for children who are just ready to read. They will have learned all the letter sounds in Jolly Phonics, and be able to blend these sounds to read simple words (including words not seen before). Available now is the first (red) level and the second (yellow) level of Jolly Readers. They use words with the basic letter sounds in Jolly Phonics, and not the alternative spellings of the digraphs. These alternative spellings will be introduced in a later level.

This CD is intended to stimulate teachers' creativity by offering you the resources you need to create your own classroom materials.

*a word bank and dictation sentences for use in compiling new material for literacy lessons.
*examples of activities which you can do to teach children to read and write and blank templates which you can adapt for your own versions of the activities.

The Jolly Jingles are an enjoyable and interactive way to reinforce the letter sounds. In big book format, and in the Jolly Phonics order, each page has a Jingle to sing, along with the appropriate letter sound(s) and action.
