Rapper turned rocker Lil Wayne is featured on the cover of the latest issue of RollingStone Magazine, on stands now. In the issue, Wayne says the reason he’s coming out with a rock album is because he got tired of rapping. He says he’s basically grown in this “rock star” and he just had to play the part with this new album. Read below for a few snippets from the issue, courtesy of MTV News.
A diva is not truly a diva until she releases a Christmas album. 1994's CHRISTMAS SPIRIT is Donna Summer's entry into the canon, and a fine one it is. Summer wisely sticks to the basics here. The two originals, the title track, and "Christmas are fine, but Summer really shines on the low-key versions of standards like Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song" and Irving Berlin's "White Christmas."
A born-again Christian, Summer devotes a good chunk of the album to traditional carols and hymns, which she sings with devotion and restraint. The arrangements are mildly synthesizer-heavy, but unobtrusive, and Summer's still-remarkable voice is always at the forefront.

Talks to Kids About Drugs (1971) is an album by Bill Cosby. Unlike most of his recordings, this is not really a comedy album, but rather a record intended for children to school them on the dangers of drugs through songs and dialogue. It won the Grammy Award in 1972 for Best Recording for Children.
Here's another album of kid's songs performed by "The Merry Players". I haven't heard of them myself, but a number of the songs (especially ones on the second half of the record) sound like some of the same singers used on the "Songs to Tickle Your Funny Bone" album. I think it would have been a blast to be part of some roving band of studio singers that specialized in doing children's records. As many albums as there were, I think you'd be set for life (or at least as long as your voice held out)! Anyway, hope you like this one!
