Entry 2 Skills for Life ESOL  is the SECOND level in a series of five for new arrivals in the UK wishing to study English.  (Note: do not be confused by the illogical naming of the level by the DfES!)
It is an adult course that takes students from beginner/starter level to a point equivalent to a GCSE in English.
The course is designed to help new arrivals in the UK learn communicative English as quickly as possible.  I focusses on real life scenarios for those living in the UK.  It thus contains a lot of material and subjects not normally covered in general English coursebooks.

TELC Handbook English A2.B1

Telc English A2-B1 is a dual-level examination. It tests general language competence at two levels and can be taken by anyone.
What can you do at levels A2 and B1?At level A2 you can communicate in a simple way in typical everyday situations. In a familiar context you can hold short conversations. You can use simple grammatical structures correctly. At level B1 you can communicate in a simple and connected way in everyday situations, while travelling and when talking about topics that are of personal interest. You can describe experiences, hopes and ambitions and give reasons for opinions. On the whole you can use the most important grammatical structures correctly.

Work for this series has been carried out within the framework of the project entitled “Differentiated and Graded National Foreign Language Exams” (Greek acronym DiaPEG), which is co-financed by the European Union and Greece, with the purpose to support and further develop the national foreign language exam system of Greece.
