Season 1 includes 15 episodes and tells a story of Katie – a girl who is so bored with her life in Britain that she decides to go to California to make a fresh start. What happens to the boyfriend she leaves behind? And who is the tall, handsome stranger she meets on the plane?
Episode 1: The phone call
Katie gets a call from her cousin Sal in California, inviting her to move out there. Their conversation is interrupted when Katie’s boyfriend, Mark, arrives home.
Episode 2: The football match
The lads are spending the afternoon watching football. Katie is only there to fetch and carry. She gets more and more exasperated.
Episode 3: Another day at work
Katie is at the end of her tether after another bad day at work.
Episode 4: The argument
Katie breaks the news to Mark that she's going to California.
Episode 5: At the airport
Katie is about to board her plane to California when Mark arrives at the airport...
Episode 6: On the plane
Katie meets a stranger on the plane and he introduces her to a poem by Robert Frost.
Episode 7: Arrival!
Katie arrives in Los Angeles but encounters some problems going through US customs.
Episode 8: Sal and Rich
Katie has arrived at the airport in Los Angeles. Her cousin Sal and Sal's boyfriend, Rich, are there to pick her up. Rich is hitting on Katie from the start.
Episode 9: The new job
Katie is running out of money and needs a job. Rich makes her an offer she can't refuse...
Episode 10: The favour
Katie reluctantly agrees to do a favour for Sal.
Episode 11: The audition
Katie goes to the audition and bumps into Michael Mensah.
Episode 12: Surprises
Katie and Sal gossip about the audition and meeting Michael… then Mark phones… he’s in LA!
Episode 13: The fight
In this dramatic episode, Mark turns up at the club while Katie is working. An argument breaks out between Katie, Mark and Rich... and there's a fight!
Episode 14: The parking lot
Rich consoles Katie in the car park…
Episode 15: Confessions
Season One cliffhanger! Katie feels terrible about what happened. Will she confess all to Sal? Meanwhile, Sal has some news of her own...
