How to Negotiate Like a Child

Author Bill Adler Jr. says that children are some of the best negotiators and that adults can take a leaf from their playbook. First off, children aren't wrapped up in long-term, strategic goals. "They are fixated on the here and now, which makes their intent clear and palpable. You need to do the same ... albeit with some adult-inspired forethought and long-range thinking."

The article mentions some of the tactics:
- Throw a tantrum
- Pretend you don't hear or understand what the other side is saying
- Call in backup
- Share something important with the other side
- Play one side against the other
