The present book Commonwealth Literature in English: Past and Present is a modest attempt to explore and elucidate critically some of the well-known writers of the commonwealth literature. Naipaul, Peggy Payne, Bapsi Sidhwa, Tehmina Durani, Margaret Laurence, Carl Jung, Nadine Gordimer, Chinua Achebe, Patrick White, Taslima Nasrin and some short story writers of Sri Lanka.
