Getting and keeping the attention of fourth and fifth graders can be challenging, and Bill Nye is determined to do just that in Bill Nye the Science Guy: Structures. He tries out the Bungee Zone in British Columbia, and survives to explain more about structures, and the support mechanisms that give them strength. The Verrazano Narrows Bridge in New York is used to illustrate some of these concepts. Amid all the traveling, the Science Guy still manages to act really silly, and students' eyes will roll at the notoriously bad jokes.
