Humans are surrounded by germs of all kinds, and some get inside the body, causing the immune system to activate and help get rid of the intruders. Bill Nye explains about the different kinds of germs, using models made from foam. Bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa can cause some rather nasty illnesses, but the body has many defenses against their invasion. Nye has taken the hit song "Don't Turn Around by Ace of Base, and changed it to "Just Wash Your Hands," good advice for staying healthy from the Science Guy.
