About the Author/s
Maxine Kumin is the author of fifteen books of poetry, four novels, five collections of essays, short stories, and a memoir, and twenty children's books. Her book of poetry Up Country won the Pulitzer Prize in 1973. She lives in New Hampshire.

Anne Sexton (1928-1974), the author of ten collections of poems, received the Pulitzer Prize in 1967.
